Database Administration General responsibilities are for providing operational database support for databases on many different DBMS software levels and versions, utilizing a wide variety of DBMS features, on many different operating system platforms for applications of differing complexities, disaster priority, mission critical designation, strategic initiatives, degree of standardization, practices, and usage of third party software.
The operational database support responsibilities include those related to availability, performance, currency, integrity, security, and confidentiality of the database instances, database backups and recoveries, database disaster recovery, database growth and disk space utilization, database problem analysis and resolution, configuration files, operating system account and system level schemas, table spaces, database patches, database upgrades, database compatibilities, database bugs and workarounds, database vendor support process, database documentation, new database release features and enhancements, special features associated with the physical DBMS (such as clusters), applications consultation, SQL tuning and object management, automation, and project implementation activities, such as physical design and installation of database environments and databases.
Job Contribution Guidelines: Technical experience 1 - 3 years. Responsible for application and/or system DBA (database administration) work including development and design of the databases that support our business applications and systems. Also responsible for database reliability, recoverability, performance, and the installation, maintenance, and upgrade of database software.

You will review AT&T Network outage ticket data, determine the correct closure and defect buckets for the outages reported across all of AT&T’s global networks. Create, validate and send the daily Executive Morning Report which is produced from the ticketing data reviewed and documented. You will also monitor & review the Morning Report detail to identify proper documentation and categories of data defects to ensure federal government reporting is carried out correctly. You need to be able to work closely with teams inputting the data into the ticketing / reporting tool along with support personnel as required.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field of study. One + years of technical trouble shooting.
Required:
• Experience using trouble ticket tracking system, including Oracle database systems, Remedy, Peregrine, Action Request System, etc.
• Knowledge of VoIP, Mobility and long distance telephone networks
• Knowledge of Transport and Infrastructure support and how the various phone networks function together to support the Global AT&T network.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal, written and presentation) including verbal and written English Language skills.
• Technical knowledge must include the ability to identify and validate proper cause to close ticket.
• Solid foundational technical expertise in both Network and Server telephone architectures.

Storage Administration Experience 1-3 years.
Oversees the day-to-day operation of the various hosted datacenter storage solutions (EMC, HP, NetApp, IBM) including hardware/software support, training, and special projects, plans, and designs.
Administer the IT Storage infrastructure including provisioning of LUNs and Volumes to Windows hosts and VMware infrastructure, track disk utilization, resolve performance issues and supporting backup and restore operations.
