Imam na hard disku negdje oko 50-tak PDF biznis planova preuzetih kroz taj softver. Između ostalih ima tamo biznis plan za fiktivnu kompaniju Web Applications Inc. Ima tu dosta zanimljivih stvari, pogotovo za ljude koji nisu familijarni sa pisanjem biznis plana. Ali kada se crta podvuče, sem ušminkanog dokumenta koji bih dobio ukoliko bih sledio njihovu metodologiju, ništa da kažem opipljivo i praktično. Npr. kako im izgleda analiza tržišta:

and data center management. The worldwide market for system-level software
increased 13% in 1997, to $35.1 billion. This figure should exceed $53 billion by 2001,

Applications software can be either developed by outside vendors and sold in packaged form,
or custom-made by users themselves. Many computer users don't have the time or desire to
write their own computer programs or to hire a software developer; they can choose from
thousands of quality packaged programs ready for use with little or no modification. The
proliferation of computers has increased the number of people who use computers relative to
those who can program them, increasing the packaged software's importance. Custom
software is tailored to the needs of a specific individual or organization.
Kao što se vidi, isključivo oslanjanje na prognoze istraživačkih kuća tipa Gartner, IDC, Forrester, BCG, itd. Što po meni nosi isti toliko rizik koliko i ne pisanje biznis plana u ranoj fazi. Mislim da je mnogo važnije da pripremite marketing plan, na taj način što ćete marketing plan posmatrati kao alat koji će vam pomoći da za sebe (a ne za investitora) odgovorite na neka ključna pitanja.

Znam ja za taj pristup koji ti predlazes, ima dosta (i to poznatih) ljudi koji to zastupaju, i donekle to ima logike, jer se time dobija na brzini sto je za web 2.0 jako bitno. Slicno kao sto se sugerise beta testiranje umesto quality assurance-a . Fora je izbaciti proizvod sto pre pa onda videti sta dalje sa njim..
Malo taj Web 2.0 komplikuje stvari, aplikacije (kao i IT proizvodi) su postojale i davno prije Web2.0 i rađene su na takav kalup. Ne samo da se dobija na brzini, nego tu se radi i o eliminisanju nepotrebnog (imaju u Toyoti tu teoriju o tzv. pet otpada) i fokusiranju na bitne elemente.

Nije fora izbaciti proizvod što prije pa onda vidjeti šta dalje sa njim, otiđi na Emily Chang eHub pa vidi koliko zjapi proizvoda od kojih nema nikakve vajde, a koji su razvijeni u poslednjih 12 mjeseci

Više je tu bit da se objasni ljudima da startupi krenu da rade jedno, a završe na nečemu potpuno drugačije. Kolumbu je prvobitno krenuo u Indiju, Flickr je krenuo kao Web multiplejer igra, Blogger je krenuo kao softver za project managament, Microsoft je prvobitno pisao programske jezike, Apple je pravio integralna kola...

Jednostavno postoji taj aspekt totalnog zaokreta u neku drugu stranu, ali da bi došlo do tog preokreta, mora prvo da se preduzme prvi korak. Znači Kolumbo je morao prvo da krene put Indije, da bi završio u Americi. E sad bit filozofije o kojoj pričam jeste da se batali što više planiranja koje nije osnovana na realnim činjenicama i praksa je pokazala da su u najčešćem slučaju svjetlosnim godinama od pravih podataka.
