0. Introduction.

Welcome lonely DreamHost customers, to this month's yet-to-be-exciting
edition of the April DreamHost Newsletter.

APRIL FOOLS! This is actually the MARCH DreamHost Newsletter. Don't let
your calendar fool-a-tize you like your clock did yesterday.. just
because it reads April doesn't mean all the newsletters you'll be
receiving today are too. NOT BY A LONG SHOT.

Now that you've all been caught totally pants-free, I'll continue with
what I believe will come to be known as the first ever theme-less
DreamHost newsletter. MARCH FOOLS!

1. No Multiple Databases per Hostname!

Um, heh, so here's a NOT new feature we're NOT announcing this
newsletter. You can now NOT put all your MySQL databases on the same
hostname (e.g. mysql.notyourdomain.com or whatever). This will NOT let
you access all your databases at the same phpMyAdmin area. This will
also NOT let your new databases get set up instantaneously because you
don't have to wait for new hostname DNS information to propagate.

Finally, this will NOT allow you to use the same mysql users to access
all your databases.

2. No https://webftp.dreamhost.com/ !

And oh, just kidding about that February fools. This section is really
serious and not a joke. We definitely have NOT created a new feature at
https://webftp.dreamhost.com/ (and at http://webftp.dreamhost.com/ too)
to let you FTP to your website via the web. This does NOT allow you to
bypass weird firewalls, NOR does it allow you to upload/manage your site
in a pinch without installing an ftp client on your home computer.

It was a lot of work for us to NOT add this new feature.. NOT!

3. No for real no more .la!

Just like we DIDN'T promise last newsletter, we didn't end up not
continuing to no longer register .la domains. In actuality, .la IS
ready to transfer their registrar service away from us, JUST like they
planned to by April 1st. Therefore, we WON'T keep allowing people to
modify and renew their .la registrations with us for a few more weeks
while they DON'T finish up the last little pieces necessary to NOT
transition away from us.

Those of you with any .la domains will NOT still be receiving an email
with further instructions as they are available. We DON'T at least know
that centralnic.com is the lucky company crazy enough to take over the
.la registrar functions from us.

4. No changes with DreamHost Rewards!

When somebody signs up for a new DreamHost account nowadays, they are
NOT given the option to enter a DreamHost Promo Code or the email
address of who referred them. This is NOT their only chance to say who
referred them.. because you CAN still use the retroactive referrer
feature, which has NOT been disabled permanently due to abuse.

So please, make sure to NOT tell your referrals to enter your email
address in that field when signing up.. or NOT even better, create a
promo code, the WORST way to guarantee you always get your Rewards
credit!
