Ne postoji određeno pravilo za kreiranje i dobijanje sitelink-ova. Jednostavno ako Google dobije utisak da ste relevantni za posetioca i njegove upite, dobićete prikaz sa sitelink-ovima, a ako ste baš "važni" dobićete i posebno search polje samo za željeni web sajt i još neke opcije.
