Vast.com :: Software Engineer - Core Engineering
San Francisco-based startup Vast.com (
http://www.vast.com) is seeking Software Engineers at all experience levels. We offer the opportunity to work on cutting edge technologies with a high degree of freedom and responsibility in design and implementation. You will be a part of a small team of dedicated Engineers in our Belgrade office.
You will participate in the design, development and maintenance of the Vast.com core infrastructure, including:
- A distributed data processing system which handles millions of records per day and manages terabytes of data.
- Artificial Intelligence algorithms which automatically classify and extract interesting data from web pages.
- A fault tolerant web service API
Ideal candidates will have:
- Strong and demonstrable knowledge of C/C++ or Java
- Excellent communication skills
- At least intermediate proficiency in the English language
- Good analytical abilities, fast learner
- Familiarity with software industry practices
- Good coding practices
- Experience with Linux/Unix environments
A plus would be:
- BSc/MSc in Computer Sciences or related
- SQL Experience
- PHP Experience
