Key Responsibilities:
Developing new websites based at WordPress
Develop new WordPress themes
Work with the content and product team to implement new features
Work with creative design team to turn designs into a working reality
Troubleshoot PHP and WordPress issues
Implement upgrades to the WordPress core and related plugins.
Develop interactive front-end features using XHTML, CSS & Jquery.
Experience/Skills:
2+ years professional PHP4/5 experience.
2+ years WordPress development experience.
Experience working with wordpress as a CMS and blog platform.
Deep understanding of the WordPress core, theming, best practices, plugins and APIs.
Excellent CSS, Javascript + jQuery, and cross platform xHTML skills.
Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (Adope Photoshop, Illustrator).
Working knowledge of MySQL and building Object Orientated Web Applications.
Experience in resolving cross-browser compatibility issues.
Experience working with the LAMP stack.
Preferred Attributes:
Knowledge of unix or linux is a plus.
Strong sense of design and user interface principles.
Understanding of WordPress custom content types and taxonomies.
A quick learner who can make the right decisions in solving common web development issues.
Enthusiastic about web and other internet technologies.
Self-starter who can adapt quickly in a fast changing startup environment.
Excellent communication skills.
