GOWI doo software company which is well established on UK market for over 13 years is looking to hire a Front-end Developer. This position requires a senior Front-end Developer with at least 3 years experience in HTML, CSS and JavaScript (5+ years of total experience is preferred).

Senior Web UI Front-end Developer

Candidate profile

Gowi is looking for a person that will be an integral part of the web development process. You should be creative, team player, self-motivated and results-oriented. You should be able to face a challenging work environment, handle stress and meet strict deadlines. You will work closely with both designers and developers in an agile environment.

Requirements

• Expert JavaScript, JSON, AJAX, (X)HTML and CSS skills (HTML5 and CSS3 is advantage)
• Experience with unobtrusive object-oriented JavaScript and JavaScript frameworks (preferable jQuery and/or Mootools)
• Good design sense and interest in high-quality interfaces
• Experience with Microsoft ASP.NET technology is advantage
• 3 or more years hands-on experience with commercial software applications development (5+ is preferred)
• Experience with test-driven development (TDD) and related tools and technologies is an advantage
• Experience in creating cross browser/platform compatible layouts
• Computer Science related degree (preferred)
• Fluently speaking / writing English language

Key responsibilities

• Building extensible, reliable, and readable code, facilitating best practices
• Work with designers to understand and implement a UI style guide
• Working with the team giving them full visibility of work throughout the project life-cycle and collaboration to ensure project work is completed to given timescales.
• Creating (X)HTML templates with respect to the cross-browser compatibility and W3C/WAI standards
• Developing UI functionalities with innovative approach using modern cross-platform (including mobile) techniques (e.g. authoring custom and improving existing plugins, templates)
• Creating backend methods (C#.NET) which utilize application resources and provide serialized/HTML response directly requested/handled by UI JavaScript calls
