Our client, a leading e-commerce site, is seeking a Senior Android Developer to work as part of a strong cross functional agile team on their android phone and tablet apps, Bringing mobile E-commerce to the next level of innovation and usability.


You will also get to work alongside the solutions architect to ensure the team delivers to required quality and adheres to best practice.


The ideal candidate will have a proven track record working the full android app development lifecycle (project setup, development, app signing, distribution to google play and other stores, after submission support) you will also need to be a proficient communicator across all levels.


Requirements

Expertise in android native technologies (Java, Android SDK, Eclipse )

knowledge of SQlite and networking programming

Experience in REST-API's integration (XML and JSON based application development)

Knowledge of performance optimization techniques and performance /memory monitoring calls

Strong understanding of how hybrid apps work and how they can be implemented



Desirable

working experience in a TDD environment and testing suites for android

Knowledge of windows or OS x shell scripting

Experience with HTML5

Understanding of Facebook SDK and push notifications
